LA TARGETTE BRITISH & FRENCH WAR CEMETERY

Not far from Vimy Ridge, near a town called Neuville St. Vaast, is this place where numbers make this war so difficult to comprehend. Above is the British Cemetery where 638 soldiers are buried; 297 of them are Canadian. Then you look to the left of this location at the French Cemetery and you see the tombs of 11,000 French soldiers.
