LENINGRAD, USSR - PRESENT DAY ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

Instead, Hitler wanted the city leveled to the ground and therefore, laid seige to the city for over 900 days. Hence this memorial near the southern entrance of the city of present day St. Petersburg.
